Minister Zhong Shan and Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin Jointly Held the 22nd Meeting of the China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee

　　On July 16, Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan and Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexey Ulyukaev jointly held the 22nd meeting of the China-Russia Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee of China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting Committee. Attending were Assistant Minister Ren Hongbin, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Timur Igorevich Maximov and representatives from related departments, localities and enterprises of the two countries.

　　7月16日，商务部部长钟山与俄罗斯经济发展部长奥列什金共同举行中俄总理定期会晤委员会经贸合作分委会第二十二次会议。商务部部长助理任鸿斌、俄经济发展部副部长马克西莫夫，以及两国有关部门、地方和企业代表参加会议。

　　Zhong Shan said that President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Russia in June and attended the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He and President Putin jointly announced the development of a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia in the new era, and proposed the goal of bilateral trade volume of US$200 billion. The main task of the meeting is to implement the economic and trade consensus reached at the meeting between the heads of the two states, and make economic and trade preparations for the 24th China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting and the 23rd meeting of the meeting committee in the second half of the year.

　　钟山表示，6月份，习近平主席成功对俄罗斯进行国事访问并出席圣彼得堡国际经济论坛，与普京总统共同宣布发展中俄新时代全面战略协作伙伴关系，提出力争双边贸易实现2000亿美元目标。此次会议的主要任务，就是落实两国元首会晤的经贸共识，为下半年中俄总理第24次定期会晤和会晤委员会第23次会议做好经贸方面的准备。

　　Zhong Shan pointed out that the current China-Russia economic and trade relations are accelerating and upgrading. Last year, bilateral trade volume reached a record of US$107.06 billion, increasing by 27.1%. In the first half of this year, bilateral trade and investment continued to show positive trends. Next, in accordance with the requirements of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Russia in the new era, the two sides will work hard to expand bilateral trade and investment, accelerate establishing economic and trade systems, optimize the business environment, and deepen trade cooperation in soybeans and other agricultural products. They will strengthen the communication and coordination under the multilateral framework such as the WTO, OECD, BRICS and GTI, jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system, oppose unilateralism and protectionism, and deepen cooperation in exhibitions. Russia will be welcome to actively participate in the 2nd China International Import Expo and the 7th China-Russia Expo will be jointly held in Russia next year.

　　钟山指出，当前中俄经贸关系加速提质升级。去年双边贸易额达到创纪录的1070.6亿美元，增长27.1%。今年上半年，双边贸易和投资继续呈现积极向好态势。下一步，双方要按照中俄新时代全面战略协作伙伴关系的要求，努力扩大双边贸易和投资，加快推进经贸制度安排，优化营商环境，深化大豆和其他农产品贸易合作；加强在世贸组织、上合组织、金砖国家、大图们倡议等多边框架下的沟通协调，共同维护多边贸易体制，反对单边主义和保护主义；深化会展领域合作，欢迎俄方积极参加第二届中国国际进口博览会，共同办好明年在俄罗斯举行的第七届中俄博览会。

　　Oleshkin said that Russia is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China. In addition to the cooperation in traditional energy, minerals and transportation, Russia will focus on developing cooperation in emerging fields such as e-commerce and trade in services, improve the level of trade and investment facilitation, promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a new level and move towards the goal of US$200 billion.

　　奥列什金表示，俄方愿与中方加强沟通协调，在发展传统能源、矿产、交通等领域合作外，着力发展电子商务、服务贸易等新兴领域合作，提升贸易投资便利化水平，推动双边经贸合作迈上新台阶，努力朝2000亿美元目标迈进。
