New Era: Deepening the New Opportunities for International Oil and Gas Trade Cooperation—the 7th China International Oil and Gas Congress Kicks off

　　On November 9, the 7th China International Oil and Gas Congress, hosted by MOFCOM Foreign Trade Development Bureau and supported by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, was held in Shanghai. Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan, deputy mayor of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Wu Qing, and executives from the International Energy Agency, PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, Sinochem, and SHFE attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Head of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau Wu Zhengping presided over the meeting.

　　11月9日，由商务部、上海市人民政府共同支持，商务部外贸发展局主办的“第七届中国国际石油贸易大会”在上海举行。商务部副部长王炳南，上海市人民政府副市长吴清，以及来自国际能源署、中石油、中石化、中海油、中化、上期所的高管出席大会开幕式并致辞。商务部外贸发展局局长吴政平主持大会。

　　With the rapid growth of China's economy, China's apparent oil consumption and crude oil imports have continued to grow, both joined the front ranks internationally. The Chinese market has played an important role in stabilizing the world oil and gas market. In order to further deepen the cooperation between the Chinese and foreign oil and gas industries and jointly exchange the trends and characteristics of the international oil and gas trade, it has been the seventh since the first China International Oil and Gas Congress held by MOFCOM in 2012.

　　随着中国经济的快速增长，中国石油表观消费量和原油进口量持续增长，均已位居世界前列，中国市场对稳定世界油气市场发挥了重要作用。为进一步深化中外油气行业的合作，共同交流国际油气贸易的趋势和特点，商务部自2012年成功举办首届石油贸易大会，连续至今已经是第七届。

　　The 7th China International Oil and Gas Congress was held concurrently with the first China International Import Expo (CIIE). Nearly 300 representatives from world-renowned oil companies, trade and shipping companies, financial and information institutions, and academic research institutions from 16 countries and regions attended the congress. As an important supporting activity of the CIIE, the China International Oil and Gas Congress has made a full play of the host country’s diplomatic effects of the CIIE and the special advantages of the Congress, and its popularity and influence have been further enhanced.

　　第七届石油贸易大会与首届中国国际进口博览会同期举办。来自16个国家和地区的全球知名石油公司、贸易和航运企业、金融和资讯机构以及学术研究机构代表近300人参会。作为进口博览会的重要配套活动，石油贸易大会充分发挥了进口博览会的主场外交效应和石油大会的特色优势，知名度和影响力进一步提升。

　　In terms of the content setting and the form of the meeting, the 7th China International Oil and Gas Congress focused on deepening issues and promoting innovation. In terms of content, focusing on the theme of “New Era: Deepening the New Opportunities for International Oil and Gas Trade Cooperation”, they had in-depth discussions on the trend of change and influence of oil and gas industry in the new situation, the new trends and new challenges facing the oil and gas trade, and the further deepening of oil and gas market cooperation. In terms of form, in order to highlight the international characteristics, the congress invited the International Energy Agency, state-owned oil companies, multinational and well-known private oil trading companies and international news companies to organize four special supporting activities. In addition, the congress continues the previous congress’ mode of holding conference and exhibition simultaneously to showcase the image and style of Chinese oil companies.

　　从内容设置和办会形式看，第七届石油贸易大会着力深化议题，推动创新。在内容上，围绕“新时代：深化国际油气贸易合作新机遇”主题，就新形势下油气行业的变化趋势及其影响，油气贸易面临的新热点、新挑战，以及进一步深化油气市场合作等议题进行了深入交流。在形式上，为彰显国际化特征，大会邀请国际能源署、国有石油公司、跨国和知名民营石油贸易公司及国际资讯公司等机构，合作举办了4场专场配套活动。此外，大会延续往届会展结合的办会形式，展示中国石油企业的形象和风采。

　　It is reported that as the first international summit of oil and gas trade in China, the congress has attracted more than 2,000 representatives of domestic and well-known foreign oil and gas trading companies from more than 30 countries and regions. Representatives of the related upstream and downstream enterprises in the domestic and international oil and gas industry, and those of news, information, and financial institutions related to oil and gas industry also expressed their concern for the congress.

　　据悉，作为国内首个油气贸易国际性高峰会议，大会迄今已累计吸引30多个国家和地区、超过2000人次的国内外知名油气贸易企业代表参会，国内外油气行业上下游相关企业以及与油气行业相关的资讯、信息、金融等机构代表也纷纷表达了对大会的关注。
